Sailmotive sanding support Pro: The uncompromising solution for professionals
For shipyards, water sports clubs, and anyone who relies on maximum performance, durability, and flexibility every day: The Sailmotive sanding support Pro is the consistent further development of our proven Refit version. It has been specifically designed for continuous use and the most demanding conditions.
The key advantages of the Pro version in detail:
Dust protection: Made for continuous use
In the Pro version, a dust brush serves as a stripping device at the top end of the spring module, minimising dust entry. At the bottom end, a seal provides protection against dust and moisture.
Dust protection: Minimal openings
The Refit version works with a different structure of the spring module, preventing dust from entering from above. The only opening is at the sliding bearing between the two tubes, and since this is directed downwards, dust entry is minimised.

Maintainability: Disassembly, cleaning, assembly
Should the spring module become clogged with dust, or if a problem occurs with the gas spring, the spring module can be completely disassembled and repaired or cleaned.
Maintenance-free design: No non-destructive disassembly
In the refit version, the spring module cannot be disassembled without destroying it. If the spring has a loss of pressure or the module is blocked due to contamination, it is usually not repairable.
Maximum flexibility: Replaceable gas springs
Those who require more working speed can install a stronger gas spring in combination with our Pro device adapters (available for Mirka Deros 2, Metabo SXE-150, Festool ETS-EC and Festool ETS-150). We strongly advise against using stronger springs in combination with our classic adapters, as they do not have sufficient self-stabilization. The handling of the device is not adequately provided with a classic adapter and high spring force!
Price optimisation: One spring strength for minimal selling price
In the refit version, we primarily focused on production costs to provide the private user with a product that serves its purpose but is not too expensive. However, this costs flexibility in spring force. Those with several different projects who also want to apply more force through sanding support are better advised with the Pro version.
Uncompromising material choice: Continuous stainless steel V4A
- Pro version: All steel components as well as the gas springs are made of high-quality V4A stainless steel. This guarantees maximum corrosion resistance and extremely high durability, even with constant contact with saltwater.
- Refit Version: Here, continuously galvanised steel is used, ideal for freshwater applications and occasional use. We pass the savings in purchasing directly on to the end customer.
Complete surface protection: Durable powder coating
- Pro Version: For maximum protection against wear and corrosion, all 3 or 4 aluminium rods in the Pro Version are powder coated in marine blue.
- Refit Version: In the Refit Version, only the lower rod is coated. The telescopic rods do not receive this treatment, as this coating would be difficult to apply and would further increase costs.
Maximum flexibility: Custom working heights for every project
Pro Version:
Thanks to our specially developed telescopic rods, the Pro Version offers unmatched adaptability while providing better robustness.
- Standard height (single stage): The base version of the Pro for 499.95 € covers a working range of 1.35 m to 2.25 m, equivalent to the standard variant.
Custom working heights: For an additional charge, we can precisely adjust your working range to your needs – from 1.0 m to 3.4 m.
- Surcharge for custom length (single stage): 25.00 €
- Surcharge for maximum reach (two stage): 75.00 €
Note: The 80 cm extension rod of the Refit Version is fully compatible with the Pro Version and can also be supplied in shorter lengths if required.
Refit version:
The Refit version is only available with a standard telescopic pole. This allows for working heights between 1.36 m and 2.19 m to be achieved. Thus, the most common working heights are realised. If a higher working height is required, an 80 cm extension can be screwed onto the foot end, which optimally expands the working area for a small additional cost.
The wall thicknesses of the telescopic poles are slightly smaller in the Refit version, making the Pro version more stable and of higher quality in direct comparison.
