Let's create the future - together!

Effortlessly sanding instead of laboriously toiling: The revolution for strenuous antifouling work.

Any boat owner knows that spending hours sanding the hull overhead is probably the most strenuous and dirtiest job on a boat. Until now, this meant days of hard labor, lots of breaks, contortions, and the resulting back pain -often lasting for days after the actual work was done.

That's over now

At Sailmotive Solutions, we have developed a patent-pending solution based on our own experience that does this work for you. Our innovative Orbital Sander Lift not only carries the full weight of your sander, but also presses it against the hull with ideal, constant pressure.

The result: you save hours of strenuous work, protect your health, and achieve a perfect, professional sanding finish - in a fraction of the time.

From practice for practice: Who we are.

We are Björn Wiegel and Hendrik Jüchter – engineers, inventors, and above all passionate boat owners and motorsports enthusiasts. The idea for the sanding aid did not originate at a desk, but rather from our own painful experience restoring an old Olympic Yachts Carter 37.

We understand the challenges our customers face because we experience them ourselves every day. Our mission is to develop well-designed, high-quality products that make your work on the boat easier and give you more time to enjoy the beautiful moments on the water. The Orbital Sander ift is our first step on this journey.

Independent product development

Our best product ideas come from direct, practical experience in water sports and motorsports. We identify real problems that we have often experienced ourselves and develop well-thought-out, durable solutions for them.

The Sailmotive Orbital Sander Lift is the first result of this approach. Using state-of-the-art digital tools such as 3D scanning and rapid prototyping, we have created a patent-pending innovation that revolutionizes one of the most strenuous tasks on a boat.

In the future, we will use this expertise to develop further intelligent mechatronic systems. Every product that bears our name stands for quality, intuitive handling, and tangible added value in practice.

Blog article: Sanding the boat hull and removing antifouling

Regular maintenance of the underwater hull is essential for maintaining the value and performance of any boat. A key but dreaded step in this process is sanding the hull to remove old antifouling and prepare it for a new coat of paint.

The challenge: overhead grinding

Removing old layers of antifouling or paint cleanly is particularly difficult overhead work when it comes to fiberglass hulls. Holding the heavy orbital sander against gravity quickly leads to fatigue, and it is almost impossible to achieve an even sanding pattern. This often results in uneven transitions and hours of exhausting work.

The solution: Work smarter, not harder

Instead of struggling for days, you can now revolutionize this process. The Sailmotive Orbital Sander Lift was developed specifically for this task. It takes all the strain off you and ensures perfect, constant contact pressure. Removing antifouling and sanding the entire underwater hull is thus transformed from a strenuous chore into an efficient and clean task that you can complete in record time. In our guide, we explain which sanding machine is best suited for this task, which sanding discs have which advantages and disadvantages, and what else you should keep in mind. From preparation to the finished result, all steps are explained in detail!
